2021.12.02 22:11 BlogerTown What is Computer-Aided Design (CAD)?

What is Computer-Aided Design (CAD)? This term covers the use of computers in designing products, services, and architectural projects. Its many benefits include the ability to analyze, modify, and optimize designs. Using computer-aided design software can improve a designer's productivity, improve communication, and create a database for manufacturing. But what is it, and why is it so crucial to engineers?
CAD uses computer software to create two-dimensional drawings and three-dimensional models. It is a visual representation of a design. It is used by architects, engineers, drafters, and surveyors. It relies on geometry to create a model. Coordinates and geometric parameters are input into the CAD software to generate accurate images and drawings. In some cases, this information can be shared with other designers.
A key aspect of computer-aided design is the use of standards. The application of standards is as much about collaborative practices as it is about the software. For example, standard methods and procedures can be created for a project. The standard methods and procedures should describe the structure, production, management, exchange of information, and communication of information. It is important to note that this process is a highly technical one, so be sure to ask questions before moving ahead.
A CAD program has several advantages over traditional designs. For example, it can be updated without erasing or reworking anything. It also allows you to zoom, rotate, and view objects from any angle. Most CAD applications can use ready-to-use components. Many CAD software packages are available, so make sure to choose the one that suits your needs best. The benefits of CAD software can be immense, and you'll soon see why it's the best way to improve your designs.

2021.12.02 22:11 nrpikulski23 Day 4

Today I had a lot of flustered thoughts on my mind, Im trying my hardest to learn how to be in the present moment every day. I need to continue to discipline myself with a schedule throughout the day so that I do not get sidetracked on my phone for so long. No real urges these first 4 days which is good looking to strive forward and finish out this week strong!

2021.12.02 22:11 shirleytempleton A Comparison of MultiVAC (MTV) with other Layer 1 Protocols

I wanted to do a quick summary of MTV here in comparison with other L1 projects. Full disclosure, I own several of these, particularly ONE and EGLD. I feel that the only thing holding MTV back to joining the ranks of these great projects in market presence currently is a new listing. When that happens, all the analysis out there suggests things should move quite quikcly to the upside (obvious NFA, and dependent on what BTC and ETH end up doing in the short term).
MTV market cap: 94.6M (in comparison to ZIL: 1.34B, ONE 3.6B, EGLD 5.73B).
MTV Transaction cost: $0.000000231 (in comparison to ZIL: $0.001, ONE $0.000001, $EGLD 0.001)
MTV Transactions per second 34,000 (in comparison to ZIL: 2,488, ONE 2k current, EGLD 15k current)
**
Staking: Here's where it gets interesting, there are Currently 3.32 Billion staked, of total circulating supply 3.68 Billion tokens.
Price: $0.017
Smart Contracts: Went live 3 days ago
Criticism:When I've posted about MTV here, people think Multivac is either a vaccum cleaner or an anti-vax shit token. It is neither, it is actually named after the robot in an Isaac Asimov short story.
Criticism 2: Lack of xchanges / marketing. The team has spent years on the tech, but don't seem to have strong marketing. They've recently hired a marketing specialist. Until MTV lands on one of the bigger platforms, price may remain in the accumulation zone.

2021.12.02 22:11 Ray_Kramer My experience installing the Ironman 4x4 2" lift kit

'21 Sport (took delivery 9/20) ~10k miles Otherwise totally stock
So, as the title says, I took the plunge and started screwing with a perfectly good car... because that's who I am and I can't help myself LOL
Anyway, there's not a whole lot to talk about, but I'll hit the high (and one very low) points. First, this kit is very nice and totally exceeded my expectations. Fit and finish are top notch, there were no missing pieces, and the packaging could have kept the parts safe even if they fell out of the delivery truck at 80mph. Very impressed.
The install wasn't the most intuitive activity I've ever embarked on, but if you have any experience at all working on cars you'll be able to figure it out- I'm talking like doing your own brakes and oil changes level of complexity. The instructions available on Ironman's website aren't the best ever, but the install video on YouTube made by Ironman does a pretty good job of filling in the gaps and showing you what to look for. I had a fellow car guy buddy of mine help me with it, because we can all use a drinking buddy with a mechanic problem. Even with near constant interruptions from my daughter and the frequent "union breaks", we got this thing done in about 5 hours. It would have gone MUCH faster if it were warmer out and we didn't like beer so much. Anyway, the front is really as simple as merely swapping out struts. The swaybar links gave us a minor delay because we had a stuck nut, but we got through it. The rear is of course a bit more involved, but wasn't nearly as bad as I was anticipating. The subframe support brackets were trickier than expected to get lined up, but again not a big deal.
Now, the ugly. I don't know if my experience is/was a one-off, but we were doing the final torqueing pass on the suspension fasteners after we had the car back on the ground. My passenger side LCA bolt would not take torque, and we stretched it by probably 2 or 3mm (I'll include a photo when I figure out how). This of course was a hard stop, and it took 4 days to get new hardware to fix it. So, do yourself a sid and order 4x Subaru PN 901000110 and 4x PN 902350022, which are the rear suspension bolts and nuts (respectively) that you're supposed to reuse and have them in-hand before you start. If I did it again, I would just discard the old hardware and install the new stuff. It's $25 well spent, trust me!
All in all, it wasn't bad and the car looks like it's at the height it was meant to be. 4.5/5 stars
I'll be happy to answer any other questions here about this install if you have them.

2021.12.02 22:11 ImLinker Affordable Loss Check: If you lost all your crypto holdings right now, how would it effect you?

Everyone knows the golden rule of crypto, right?
"Only invest what you can afford to lose!"
So this post is a simple check-in for you to see where you are at with your investing.
If you were hacked, lost your seed phrase in a boating accident or any other way of losing your crypto, how would it effect you and would you financially (and mentally) be okay?
This is an incredibly important thing to be aware of and to keep in mind while we are getting into the can of worms which is crypto trading.
Especially if you already have trouble managing finances, I really encourage everyone to be as aware of their situation and what would truly happen if you lost all your holdings.
I know I would be pretty devastated from losing my holdings & I think mentally it would be hard for me. However financially I think I would be okay short term & long term.

2021.12.02 22:11 timothyschalus Does anyone else feel like this?

When I first started producing music, I did not come from a musical background. When I was younger I would fill notebooks with "poetry" if you can call it that...besides that, not much classical training. Anyway, when I decided to take production serious and really put 110% into it, I analyzed my favorite artists and came to the conclusion that 95% of them came from a musical background. I decided that I would model myself as a hybrid of my favorite artists combined, and I set out on hundreds and hundreds of hours of studying music theory, playing piano (not very well, but enough to move around), and overall "hard skills" of music. In the early years of my production I did not "vibe" really when creating. It was strictly intense mental focus on making sure everything "made sense". I was obsessed with "why does this sound good?" "why do these chords work together?" etc... you get the point. I was so worried about not being able to replicate what I had created in the moment because I had not understood how I had made it. I thought, if I cannot replicate and understand it I will not be able to elevate. In Rap especially I see the artists who are classically trained last long because they understand the game more than artists who ride the "vibe wave". A wave always crashes. I also don't always feel fulfillment on "vibing". I have this default setting in my brain where I feel like if I didn't earn it through extreme hard work, then its not dopamine-release (not sure if this should be hyphenated) worthy. This train was chugging along for a few years, then life hit me and I stoped making music for a few years (worst decision I've ever made). This year I just felt so utterly disgusted that I had stopped creating, I decided to pick it back up. Since I took so much time off, my music theory was SUpE dust. I barely remembered anything. Over the last few months I've been going hard back into music (8 plus hours a day) and Ive been pretty much vibing, just creating what I feel and not thinking about why it sounds good. It is the most freeing feeling ever. I've been creating some of my best work by far, and I barely think, I pretty much just go with my gut. This was great for awhile until my laptop broke. I just ordered a new one, but it is 2 months (minimum) from arrival. I am stuck here without production means and it is KILLING ME. I came up with a plan to replace the time I would normally be making songs (production, mix, vocals, mix, master) completely with theory and physical playing while I wait for my laptop. I am having anxiety about this however, as I feel I will go back to being too analytical when creating rather than vibing. Does anyone else feel this way when they create? the struggle to think hard and yet not think at all? am I overthinking? (most Likely). Thanks for any feedback, not expecting anyone to read all of this but I appreciate the opportunity to get it off my chest to people who possibly understand.

2021.12.02 22:11 _gadgetFreak Need help in choosing monitor for programming and occasional gaming

Apologies if it is another duplicate thread. I'm trying to improve my wfh setup. Currently I have two monitors (22" 1080p + 19")
Planning to replace the 19" one. In terms of size and resolution, so far I got mixed suggestions from internet. After lots of reading I felt 27" 1440p is a nice middle ground.
Can you all suggest a nice 27" 1440p 144hz monitor(I do play games occasionally). Programming is the first priority though.
Also, will text be too small in 27" 1440p monitors ?
